We are delighted that our President, The Duchess of Rothesay, visited Maggie's Glasgow on Friday 7 September 2018.
We are delighted that our President, The Duchess of Rothesay, visited Maggie's Glasgow on Friday 7 September 2018.
Her Royal Highness, who has supported Maggie51ɫAPPs for 10 years, arrived at the centre with Laura Lee, our Chief Executive, in the Maggie51ɫAPPs Glasgow car before being welcomed at the centre by Patron and broadcaster Kirsty Wark.
On a tour of the centre she met staff, centre visitors who shared a little of their own cancer experiences with The Duchess and key supporters including Nina Barough, founder of , the principal funder of Maggie51ɫAPPs Glasgow allowing Maggie51ɫAPPs to build and open the centre in 2011 thanks to funds from walkers of .
Maggie51ɫAPPs daughter Lily Jencks, who designed the gardens of Maggie51ɫAPPs Glasgow, was also at the centre to meet Her Royal Highness before The Duchess enjoyed a juicing demonstration (part of Maggie51ɫAPPs Nutrition programme) in the kitchen area.

During the 10 years of her support Her Royal Highness has often visited centres including Manchester, Dundee and Swansea, opened Maggie51ɫAPPs Aberdeen with Her Royal Highness The Queen of Norway and hosted many events in support of Maggie51ɫAPPs.
