Our centre in the grounds of St Bartholomew's Hospital (Barts) is a space for being together or for a moment alone, for getting going again or for meeting people who just get it.
All our cancer support specialists have expert knowledge about cancer and treatment, and many are NHS-trained.

Car
Maggie's is located within the grounds of St Bartholomew's Hospital. There is no public parking at the hospital, but if you do need to drive, the is close to the hospital in West Smithfield. is also nearby.
St Bartholomew's Hospital operates a one-way system with drop-off and pick-up at three designated laybys, with a maximum stay of 10 minutes. You can access the drop-off point from Giltspur Street and exit onto King Edward Street.
There are a small number of parking bays for Blue Badge holders. These are accessed via Giltspur Street. Drivers who are registered disabled and have a Blue Badge can also check where to park on the .
St Bartholomew's Hospital is situated within the and the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ).
Public Transport
The following buses stop outside or close to the hospital: 4, 8, 17, 25 (24-hour service), 45 46, 56, 63, 76, 100, 153, 172, 242 (24-hour service) and 521 (Mondays to Fridays only), as well as the night buses N8, N63 and N76. Low-floor wheelchair-accessible buses run on all routes serving St Bartholomew's Hospital.
For travel by tube, the closest underground stations are St Paul's (5-minute walk), Barbican (7-minute walk), Farringdon (8-minute walk), Blackfriars (10-minute walk), and Moorgate (17-minute walk).
For travel by train, the nearest National Rail stations are Blackfriars (10-minute walk), Cannon Street (15-minute walk), City Thameslink (7-minute walk), Moorgate (17-minute walk) and Farringdon (8-minute walk). Liverpool Street Station is a 21-minute walk or a short tube, bus, bike or taxi ride away.
For cycling to Maggie's Barts, Santander Cycle hire docks are located on West Smithfield near the King Henry VIII Gate entrance and on King Edward Street. The City of London also provides dockless hire bays, which can be viewed .
If you are bringing your own bike, there are cycle rack facilities available outside the transport lounge and outside the Nuffield Health at St Bartholomew's Hospital building, as well as offsite City of London cycle racks .

The building is fully accessible for disabled access. There is a ramp located at the main entrance, which is located in the courtyard/main square of the hospital. We also have a lift in the centre to ensure that you can access all our spaces.

I have over 13 years’ experience as a therapeutic radiographer, specialising in oncology care, delivering and developing the treatment techniques provided to patients. I have worked in large teaching hospitals in London and was in post as the Breast Advanced Practitioner before joining Maggie51É«APP™s in 2020.

Counselling Psychologist
As a qualified Counselling Psychologist, I can help if things are getting on top of you, if you're scared, worried or feeling down.
I joined Maggie's at the beginning of 2022. I have also worked in an NHS psycho-oncology setting, as well as more general psychological support services. I have a special interest in exploring existential issues, the psychological challenges around illness and loss, as well as the potential for growth and making meaning alongside these experiences.
We can talk about things in a safe and supportive space and you can see me in private, in a group or with your family.

I joined Maggie's in 2021, after having provided benefits advice for the last 20 years in a range of different settings.
I provide one-to-one support and can help you to understand what you’re entitled to and help with practical things like travel costs and extra money you may be able to claim.
I’ll help you to fill out all the necessary forms and support you through the application process.

Centre Fundraising Manager
I make sure we raise enough money to keep our doors open for people with cancer and their loved ones.
I work with our fantastic corporate partners, local trusts, fundraising groups and individuals who help to make our work possible by donating, joining our events and organising their own fundraising for the centre.
I also work with businesses to raise awareness of the support available here, including webinars and events on supporting staff with cancer.

Our beautiful centre was built in the historic grounds of St Bartholomew’s Hospital in 2017. Envisioned as a 'vessel within a vessel within a vessel', this three-story building features a unique glass facade to create a light and airy space – perfect for the delivery of our cancer support.
