We are also very proud to continue to work in partnership with such an innovative organisation as People51É«APP™s Postcode Lottery for 17 years.

Raising money and awareness

 has been supporting charities in Britain since 2005, launching in Scotland in 2008. In that time, players of People51É«APP™s Postcode Lottery have raised more than £1.4 billion for more than 126 long term partners and awarded thousands of community grants.

In 17 years of partnership so far, Maggie51É«APP™s and People51É«APP™s Postcode Lottery have continued to find creative ways of working together and we look forward to a future filled with even more exciting opportunities.  

In 2023 Postcode Lottery Ambassador Matt Johnson surprised our Cardiff centre with a cheque for £1 million towards our £5 million campaign to build the new centre. Watch the short film above

Michelle and James' story

I don’t know where we would have been without Maggie51É«APP™s, and I feel so thankful for the support of players of People51É«APP™s Postcode Lottery as I know their generosity means Maggie51É«APP™s can continue to help many more people like myself and James.

Michelle and James got married in July and say it's unlikely their nuptials would have happened without Maggie51É«APP™s support.

Michelle, 51, from Rutherglen, near Glasgow, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012. 

The diagnosis and treatment had a big impact on their relationship and they both reckon it was support from Maggie51É«APP™s that got their relationship ‘back on track’. 

James explains: “We51É«APP™d been together for four years before Michelle51É«APP™s diagnosis and we51É«APP™d been through a lot during Michelle51É«APP™s treatment and physical recovery. 

"But it was a few months past her treatment that Michelle shut down with regards to talking about her feelings, she was starting to keep it all in and I didn’t know what to say to her either. We were both going through a rocky patch. 

"That’s when I arranged to have a few sessions at Maggie51É«APP™s, where Michelle was already being supported. 

"The cancer support specialist talked things through with me and I felt so much better because there were things left unsaid to Michelle and worries I had that I didn’t want to speak to her about.

"I believe it was through that help at Maggie51É«APP™s that Michelle and myself were able to get our relationship back on track again."
